Valentine's Day Ideas for Singles
All you single ladies, what do you do on Valentine's Day? How do you feel about it? We don't sweat it, stress about it, or read into it. And we encourage you to do the same. But if you are looking for something to do on Vday, here are a few of our ideas.
Girls Night In
Seriously, avoid the traffic and the crowd. Get your single girlfriends together for a girls night in. Watch chick flicks, do each other's mani-pedis, or mix up your own girlie drinks. Make this night a celebration of friendship and living it up during your single years.
Girls Eat Out
If you want to go out, we suggest eating at a hole in the wall restaurant. Lesser known food establishments would probably be offering Valentine's Day specials, but would not be as crowded as major food chains or other popular restaurants.
Food Truck Hunting
Need we say more? With the food truck culture growing, there are many selections that can take care of your appetizers, main course, and dessert. Good food, culturally diverse, and cheap. Get your friends together, check the food trucks' Facebook and Twitter pages, and happy hunting.
Swap Party
It's a good night to have a swap party. What's that? Basically, you and your friends get together and swap stuff: recipes, jewelry, whatever you can think of. Stories of bad dates and exes? Why not? Make it a potluck, get some good drinks flowing, the music pumping, and chismosas talking.
Babysit
Oh yuck, work. Right? Wrong. It's called money, honey. So if you can handle kids, then you can be in business for your couple-friends who can't find a babysitter because they waited the last minute to plan their Vday date.
Okay, all you singles out there. What are your plans this Valentine's Day?
