DIY: Fashion Frame
Here's an easy Do-It-Yourself to give away as gifts or to decorate your room.
Materials:
Instructions:
1. Pick a theme. There are many directions you can go, so it's best to pick a theme. Some ideas are: girl's night out, beach/summer/fun in the sun, birthday (specific age), special occasion (wedding, anniversary, congratulations on your [fill in the blanks]), etc. We went with classic fashion. That's why we picked a simple black frame we can decorate with clear, white, or silver decorations. The only pop of color we wanted was from the drawing.
2. Insert your picture or drawing in the frame.
3. Lay out the decorations. Play around with the placement.
4. Use the glue gun to place the decorations on the frame. Make sure that the frame can still stand if you place decorations on the bottom of the frame.
TIPS:
If you have a wooden frame, like we do, make sure you know exactly where to place your decorations because once it's glued there, it's near impossible to remove or rearrange the decor without ruining the frame.
If you have a plastic frame, make sure it's durable enough to withstand hot glue.
Can't find a frame in your favorite color? Just paint the ones you find.
Consider making one for your group of friends because sometimes it's cheaper to buy the decorations in packs instead of individually.
Make these for a party or sleepover!
Get creative! Anything goes :-)
Materials:
- Picture frame: your choice of size and type. We chose a simple 4x6 that can be propped up on a table. It was $0.97 at Walmart.
- A picture or drawing cut to the correct size of the frame
- Decorative items: beads, fake jewelry, decorative gems/stones. We picked pearl beads (pack of 4 strands) and fake diamond rings (pack of 12) from Michaels, and decorative diamonds of different sizes from Walmart. Approx a total of $12.
- Glue gun and glue sticks
