Bridal Shower Idea: Money Vase

For a recent potluck bridal shower, I set up a money vase that incorporated 2 activities.

The first is simply the money vase itself. The idea is the more money the guests put in the jar, the better the honeymoon destination will be. I picked honeymoon destinations and cute, funny or double entendre phrases to go with them. For example: Then I taped the labels on the jar, with the honeymoon destination closest to the hometown at the bottom.

Quick note, I "white out" the couples' names on the picture to the right, but in the label provided, it says "bride and groom."

The second is The Name Game, which I found from Mrs. Green Tea (make sure to read her post!). Every guest was given a new food-related name. If a guest calls another guest by her real name, that offending guest puts $0.50 in the vase.

It was a hit at the shower, with a lot of hilarious trip-ups with the names. Keeps everyone on their toes!
