Thanksgiving Plans
Hey everyone! So we've been quiet over here and we're so sorry about that. School and work, you know how it goes. But it's Thanksgiving week, and we chismosas know what that means. Shopping!
Kidding! Well, partly. The sales did roll in early this year. But Thanksgiving is a time of special thanks for the blessings in our lives. We know it's been tough for a lot of people. There are still a lot of people without jobs, including the many college grads that can't find one in the first place. We feel you, and we're right with you. It's been extremely hard for our east coast friends who are picking up the pieces after Hurricane Sandy. Our prayers go out to you and the wonderful people being relief and aid. And emotions have been high and turbulent in the recent presidential elections.
Maybe your Thanksgiving plans are big, with a huge family dinner to plan, relatives coming over, and all that jazz. Or perhaps, your plans are simple: a quiet family dinner. But let's take a moment to breathe a collective sigh. Clear your minds of the cobwebs and worries. Roll your shoulders. Get the kinks out of your neck. Inhale. Exhale. Visualize a great week.
Don't let this week stress you out. List the things you've got to be thankful for. We'll start it for you!
1. You're alive.
2. It's a new day with new possibilities.
3. There's a long weekend up ahead.
4. You're in control. Make a difference in your life or the lives of those around you.
5. Family comes in all shapes and sizes, blood related or friendship formed.
What are you thankful for?
