Valentine's Day Movies

Staying in for Valentine's Day? Make a night of it with a special homemade dinner and a romantic or romantic comedy movie. There are many movies out there about love, but here are some of our picks. They all have happy endings!

"Love Actually" is all about love. This is an ensemble movie, which means it has a lot of top actors and actresses from across the pond (Colin Firth, Hugh Grant, Liam Neeson, Keira Knightley, etc). Set around Christmastime and New Years, this is a good movie to watch while cuddling together on the couch.

"Valentine's Day" is appropriately named, and is also a good movie to watch. This is another ensemble movie, but with top US actors and actresses. Multiple story lines happening on Valentine's Day will cross and intersect, showing us different aspects of amore.

"The Princess Bride" is the classic and ultimate love story about Westley, Buttercup, and the many things trying to keep them apart. But this movie teaches us that "Twoo wuv wiw fowwow you foweva."

"The Back-up Plan" is a laugh-out-loud movie. We love Jennifer Lopez's romantic comedies (Maid in Manhattan, The Wedding Planner) and this one is right along her alley. With sexy Alex O'Loughlin (Steve McGarrett in Hawaii 5-O), hilarious Melissa McCarthy (Mike&Molly, Bridesmaids), this is a fun watch.

"My Big Fat Greek Wedding" is an in-your-face example of what it means when they say, "You don't just marry each other, you marry the family." Hilarious and well made, this is a great movie to watch, and maybe also remind you of your own family's antics.

"Music and Lyrics" stars Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore. We pick this one because it's sweet, funny, and we love the theme song. Check it out!

If you're staying at home for Valentine's Day, get comfy and cozy in front of a movie. What's your favorite romantic comedy?
