Easter Nails Tutorial

It's a little different than what you might have thought when you hear Easter Nails. A quick search on Google or Pinterest will give you pastel painted nails with eggs, bunnies, and grass. But we give you a story, starting with the thumb.

Gold: God loves us very much. He wants us to spend eternity with Him in Heaven.

Black: But we are sinners. Our sin separates us from God.

Red: So God sent His son, Jesus, to make a way for us to go to Heaven. That way was His death and His resurrection. Jesus died as payment for our sins. He rose again as a testament to His power. He overcame death...

White: ...and by accepting salvation through Jesus, we can overcome eternal death. Through Jesus, our sins are wiped away. We become blameless in the eyes of God.

Green: As imperfect people, we will continue to sin and make mistakes. But that's part of our growth. By growing in our relationship with God, we can have the confidence that our sins have been forgiven. When we make mistakes, we simply turn back to God and try our very best to do what's right.

Gold: And when we die, we spend an eternity of peace, joy, and love with our heavenly Father.

For us, Easter is not about bunnies, eggs, or pastel colors. It's a reminder of the story of Jesus' saving work on the cross.

This nail tutorial is quite easy. You can figure it out by looking at the picture! We did add flowers on the thumb because...well, we messed it up when it was wet and fixing it just didn't look right!

But flowers also remind us of Spring, and Spring reminds us of new beginnings. When each of us accepted Jesus as our personal Lord and Savior, it was like getting a new start. Like flowers blooming in Spring from the Winter cold, we flourished in God's love. It didn't mean life was easy. Sometimes, it was harder because of our faith. But our faith is worth fighting for.

May your Easter be filled with love worth fighting for!
